Player Bio
Andrew is a lifelong performer, classically trained in theatre from Syracuse University, with vast accomplishments in both the performing arts and broadcast radio. He's also a seasoned mixologist--who sports an infectious laugh and outgoing personality--allowing him to become a favorite bartender for countless guests across parts of three decades. Andrew has been drawn to Thoroughbred horse racing since the 1978 Kentucky Derby, Affirmed v. Alydar. Only eight years old at the time, he was told by his parents that a celebratory dinner out would have to wait until the conclusion of that race. Hungry and nearly inconsolable, he was quickly smitten with the sport's eventual 11th Triple Crown winner. A happily married father of two, Andrew loves both the mental challenge of analyzing a racing form and the exhilaration when his prognostications pay off. Odds and ends... Andrew's favorite live racing moment: American Pharaoh's slop-filled romp at Preakness 140. Andrew's favorite track to visit: Saratoga. He calls it "my Disney World." Andrew's favorite jockey: 2017 Hall of Famer Javier Castellano. Andrew's favorite meeting: Keeneland's Spring Meet. Andrew's all-time favorite race caller: Tom Durkin.
