- 1942 The Jockey Club stewards revoked Eddie Arcaro’s license for one year after his display of “rough riding” aboard odds-on favorite Occupation in the Cowdin Stakes on Sept. 19. In the Cowdin, Arcaro retaliated from an incident at the start and deliberately drove his horse into another, knocking his jockey into the infield.
