Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Equine Sales Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will work remotely and be responsible for developing and maintaining member and NTRA partner relationships, driving sales, and achieving revenue targets. This position handles inbound and outbound sales calls, profiling and prospecting efforts while servicing immediate customer needs and accurately handling customer orders through our membership database.  This is a great opportunity for someone with strong communication skills, a passion for sales, and the ability to thrive in a competitive independent environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Successfully sell NTRA Advantage & Equine Discounts products and programs primarily to the Equine Industry.  This is accomplished by telephone, email and in person visits.
  • Identify and prospect new equine members and NTRA partners through cold calling, networking, dealer training and other lead-generation methods.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing equine members and NTRA partners, ensuring their needs are met and encouraging repeat business.
  • Conduct equine product presentations to equine members and NTRA partner contacts.
  • Ability to educate equine members, conduct follow-ups and close sales to achieve individual and team sales targets.
  • Collaborate with the sales team and management to ensure alignment with company goals and strategies.
  • Keep accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and follow-ups in our Salesforce database system.
  • Stay up to date with equine product knowledge, industry trends, and competitor activity.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for Territory Development by state for equine members and NTRA partners – the ability to effectively manage a sales territory and plan effective sales calls.
  • Support Equine event activations at various equine shows for our NTRA partners.
  • Must be motivated and able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • May be required to perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • College degree and a minimum of 2-4 years of work experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and expertise.
  • Proven experience as a Sales Representative or in a similar sales role.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Goal-oriented with a track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Must have a desire to travel by automobile and airlines.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
  • Familiarity with Equine Industry.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Possesses strong computer and office machine skills. Must be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), and able to use the Internet. Understands basic PC concepts (files, file paths, copying and pasting, deleting and moving files).
  • Valid driver’s license (if applicable).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and understanding of CRM Databases (Salesforce preferred).
  • Experience in the Equine Western, English and/or the Racing Industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related equine field (preferred but not required); and two to four years related customer service/sales experience and training or combination of education and experience.
