Big Brown untouchable in Preakness
Big Brown, the Kentucky Derby winner, took another huge step toward the Triple Crown on Saturday when he remained unbeaten while crushing his 11 rivals in the 133rd Preakness Stakes at Pimlico Race Course.
Perfect ride by a 'Maryland jockey'
It was just like the old days at Old Hilltop. Kent Desormeaux, aboard a huge favorite, was looking confidently behind him, then kicking away from an overmatched field before virtually easing his mount to the wire.
Dutrow all smiles on Sunday morning
The smile on trainer Richard Dutrow Jr.'s face Sunday morning at the stakes barn at Pimlico Race Course said it all. Dutrow had pulled up well from a celebratory party on Saturday night, and Big Brown had also pulled up well following his romp in Saturday's 133rd Preakness Stakes.
