Proud Spell, under Gabriel Saez, took the lead outside the eighth pole and roared home a five-length winner of Friday's $500,000 Kentucky Oaks at sloppy Churchill Downs. Little Belle rallied to be second, three-quarters of a length over Pure Clan. It was a head back to Golden Doc A.
