Traveling to New York? Kentucky? Florida? The weather can be just as unpredictable as the winner of your favorite stakes race.  Don’t be caught stranded at the track without an umbrella, much less your favorite sweater when a cold front rolls in as fast as the horses.

Packing layers is important as the weather outdoors can change quickly, and racehorses don’t compete in an indoor stadium. While packing layers, also consider what colors and fabrics your packing. As we don’t have to wear matching silks, choosing clothing items that are versatile and can be worn with multiple different clothing pieces is an efficient use of space in your suitcase.

Bringing the entirety of your closet isn’t necessary, pack clothing items that you can not only layer, but also mix and match!
