Shanghai Bobby started his racing career impressively by winning his first three races, including a victory in the Three Chimneys Hopeful Stakes (G2) on closing day of Saratoga Race Course’s 2012 meet. He then added to his credentials with a visually impressive victory in the Champagne Stakes (G1) in his Grade 1 debut and cemented his claim as the Eclipse Award champion 2-year-old male with a game victory in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile (G1).
