A bay daughter of Malibu Moon, Kauai Katie is trained by multiple Eclipse Award winner Todd Pletcher for Stonestreet Stables, the owners of last year’s 2-year-old champion filly My Miss Aurelia. Kauai Katie broke her maiden at Saratoga in her first start by an impressive 12 lengths and then went on to capture the Adirondack Stakes (G2) in her next start as the odds-on favorite.
In her 2013 debut on New Years Day, Kauai Katie easily won the Old Hat Stakes (G3) at Gulfstream Park by eight lengths.
