ARCADIA, Calf. - The only contender that might have been compromised by the post draw for the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint has no worries regarding her starting position.

Informed Decision "does not really like dirt in her face," trainer Jonathan Sheppard said.

Good thing for Sheppard that Informed Decision landed an outside post and will not have any dirt in her face, or Pro-Ride synthetic material.

Informed Decision drew a comfortable outside post (7) in the nine-runner field for the $1 million Filly and Mare Sprint. But to win the seven-furlong race, Informed Decision must hold off Ventura, who drew the outside post (9) as she tries to win the Filly and Mare Sprint for a second straight year.

Ventura will open as the 8-5 morning-line favorite. Daily Racing Form and Santa Anita line maker Jon White both opened the 5-year-old mare at the same price. Garrett Gomez rides Ventura for trainer Bobby Frankel.

Informed Decision, who defeated Ventura in their only meeting in spring at Keeneland, is the 3-1 second choice by DRF; the track lists her at 5-2. Julien Leparoux rides Informed Decision.

Free Flying Soul, the expected pacesetter, had her hand forced when she drew the inside post. She must gun from the rail. Sara Louise drew post 2, and could get the best trip pressing the pace behind the seemingly outclassed front-runner. Frankie Dettori picks up the mount on Sara Louise, owned by Godolphin.

Godolphin also starts Seventh Street, a Grade 1 winner who breaks from post 8 under Rajiv Maragh.
