Lillie Langtry and House of Grace, installed as the first and second favorites for the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf, will break side by side in the one-mile turf event. The 3-1 Lillie Langtry will start from post 8 in the 12-runner field, while the 4-1 House of Grace will be stationed just inside of her in 7.

The draw for both fillies is close to ideal. Lillie Langtry, winner of the Group 2 Debutante Stakes at Leopardstown and the Tattersalls Fillies 800 at Newmarket for trainer Aidan O'Brien, will likely be taken back by Johnny Murtagh. The Kenny McPeek-trained House of Grace, winner of Keeneland's off-the-turf Jessamine Stakes with a late-closing rush from toward the rear, will probably be three or four spots ahead of the favorite with Mike Luzzi at the controls.

Smart Seattle, who couldn't quite last in the Jessamine, drew post 3, from where Jeremy Rose can make use of her tracking speed. The unluckiest of the the others who are in with a chance was Italo-German invader Junia Tepzia.

An Irish-bred, American-owned, German-trained, Italian-raced daughter of Rock of Gibraltar, Junia Tepzia will break from post 11, meaning that she will have to be hustled along early if she is to take up her customary spot just behind the leaders. The pace of the race is likely to be quicker than what she has experienced in maiden and listed scores in Italy, so she may find it more comfortable to take back early and save ground. Team Valor has secured the services of Kieren Fallon for Junia Tepzia, who is listed at 8-1 on the morning line. It was Fallon who engineered the victory of the Team Valor-owned Gitano Hernando in the Goodwood Stakes at Santa Anita last month.

Elusive Galaxy, third in Lillie Langtry's Debutante and since transferred to Ben Cecil, for whom she finished fourth in the Natalma Stakes at Woodbine, is in post 3, from where Rafael Bejarano has the option of going for the lead like he did in the Natalma, or taking back, as the filly did in her three previous races in Ireland.

So with the possible exception of Junia Tepzia, the draw should not affect the principals unduly.
